John 15:14 "You are My friends if you do what I command."
John 14:15 "If you love Me keep my commands."
2 John 1:6 "And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love."
Have you ever had this prompting to do something, and it made your stomach quiver or made you so nervous you felt like throwing up? Have you ever heard a voice say, "go tell this person this" or "go give that person this money?" You become so troubled and uncomfortable in your belly that you knew you had to do what that voice said. Chances are (if the act was an act of kindness, gentleness, love, patience, etc.), you heard the voice of the Holy Spirit.
It doesn't have to make sense to you. The blessing comes in your obedience. If you're afraid, do it afraid. If you don't understand why you're hearing this voice or getting that unsettling feeling in your stomach or in your spirit, it's okay; God does not need us to understand, He just wants us to obey and follow through on the assignment.
Your flesh, your emotions, your mind, will fight you so that you would abort the assignment. As such, this is why the bible tells us to die to our flesh daily. Look at it this way, if you don't follow through on the assignment, you become like a thief who stole that word or that blessing from the one on the receiving end. God was using you to give them a gift, and you kept it to yourself.
Always remember this, "you'll never know what the person on the receiving end is going through" they might be contemplating suicide, they might feel all alone, they might have prayed their last prayer of hope and God was using you to bring them the answer to their prayers. He knows them better than you do. Trust Him, be obedient, and you'll become the hand of God, the voice of God, the heart of God and the LOVE of God in that time and in that moment.
