Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his/her fellow. But woe to him/her who is alone when he/she falls and has not another to lift him/her up!"
Have you asked God to search your heart today? Do you have a problem against your sister in Christ? I am so saddened to see the jealousy, coveting, hate, competition, back talking, gossiping, and division between sisters today, especially sisters in Christ, sisters in the Faith. Instead of sharing our cares and concerns with one another, we fight, we disconnect, we gossip, and we take on a spirit of offense. We have to get back to being "My Sister's Keeper." A place where we will forgive her, address her, and hold no records of wrong.
There are so many women, and often times its women who are leaders in the body of Christ, that are still ministering with a tainted heart. A good friend of mines once made reference to the phrase "hurt people, hurt people." It was at that moment that I thought to myself "there is a big void in the body of Christ today." That void is connected to how we deal with women who have been traumatized and have not healed properly. Those women who in public or on social media wear a smile on their face, but inside they are dying slowly.
Many of us women have been abused, mishandled, rejected and manipulated. However, instead of healing from this trauma, we bottle it in, we isolate, we become depressed, anxious, we cry in silence with despair, not knowing who to turn to for help or prayer. Where are the sister's keepers in the world today? How long will we go on not reaching out to check in on each other? Your sister needs you to lift her up, not only in prayer, but also with a word of encouragement, with a listening ear, or a physical hug.
Let's remind ourselves daily that LOVE is PATIENT and KIND; love DOES NOT ENVY or BOAST; it is NOT ARROGANT or RUDE. It does not insist on its own way; it is NOT IRRITABLE or RESENTFUL; it does NOT REJOICE IN WRONGDOING but REJOICES with the TRUTH. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love NEVER ENDS.
Call or text your sister today. Tomorrow is not promised.
